As a Commissioner for the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) from 1994-2011, Gary served as a federal mediator based in FMCS’s Milwaukee office servicing the Southern Wisconsin region.As an FMCS mediator, Gary worked with many of Wisconsin’s major employers, representing a variety of industries, and involving all major unions.

Prior to joining FMCS, Gary was with Milwaukee-based Ladish Co., Inc. for over 25 years. His responsibilities included negotiating collective bargaining agreements and establishing labor relations strategies for facilities in Wisconsin, Arkansas, Texas, Kentucky, California and Canada.

Gary brings over 40 years of collective bargaining and labor relations experience to Lindner & Marsack. As a non-lawyer and former mediator, he offers a unique perspective in assisting the Firm’s clients.

Gary’s services include analysis, preparation and practical strategy development for collective bargaining. He also assists in contract administration issues, including grievance handling, work rule implementation and administration, labor-management relations initiatives, management training, as well as assistance in related labor relations matters.

Gary was the recipient of the 2009 Melvin Lurie Cooperation Prize given by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for fostering cooperative relations between labor and management in Wisconsin.
