LISA M. BERGERSEN is a shareholder with the law firm of Lindner & Marsack, S.C. Mrs. Bergersen's practice is primarily concentrated in the areas of employment litigation, equal employment matters, and the development and review of personnel policies and procedures. Mrs. Bergersen also assists clients in negotiating labor agreements, handling grievances and arbitration matters, obtaining foreign worker employment visas, developing and litigating non-compete and other employment agreements, and developing and implementing strategic human resources initiatives. Mrs. Bergersen has extensive experience in developing and presenting programs and training sessions for clients, human resources professionals and employer groups. Some of the topics she has covered include, avoiding employment litigation, sexual harassment, legal considerations of employment, general supervisory training, workplace violence and substantive areas of employment law including issues under the Title VII and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Mrs. Bergersen received her law degree from Marquette University Law School. During her term at Marquette University, she was Executive Editor of the Marquette Law Review, and she served as an intern for Judge John Coffey of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, concentrating her work primarily in labor and employment law issues. Mrs. Bergersen is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin. She is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Human Resources Management Association, where she served from 1995 to 2000, and the Shaken Baby Association, Inc. Mrs. Bergersen is also an author of the State Bar's "Wisconsin Employment Law" book.
