Jeremiah Van Hecke is an associate attorney with the law firm of

Mr. Van Hecke represents employers in a range of discrimination cases before various state, federal, and administrative forums. His practice includes litigation of employee claims brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Wisconsin Fair Employment Law, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Wisconsin Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disability Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. Mr. Van Hecke has negotiated and litigated employment contracts, including severance, non-competition, and non-solicitation agreements. He has experience with wage payment and collection claims by employees against companies and against company executives individually and has litigated employment-related defamation claims.
Prior to joining
Lindner & Marsack, S.C. , Mr. Van Hecke worked at Kelly, Olson, Michod, DeHaan & Richter, L.L.C., in
Chicago, Illinois . At Kelly Olson, he practiced general commercial litigation with specialties in employment and construction law, participating in all aspects of litigation.
From 1999 to 2004, Mr. Van Hecke was an Assistant State Attorney in the Miami-Dade County State Attorney's Office in
Miami, Florida . He tried over thirty jury trials and over 100 bench trials and was ultimately assigned to the Career Criminal/ Robbery Unit as a Career Criminal Trial Counsel, handling complex cases against some of
Florida 's most violent repeat offenders.
Mr. Van Hecke received his law degree from
Tulane University in 1999 and graduated from
Northwestern University with a Bachelors of Arts in English Literature and History in 1996.
Mr. Van Hecke is licensed to practice law in the State of
Wisconsin , the State of
Illinois , and the State of
Florida . He is also licensed to practice in Federal Court in
Wisconsin and
Illinois and is a member of the Trial Bar for the
Federal District Court in the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Van Hecke is a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association, Labor and Employment Section, and the Florida Bar Association.
